The Rally · A Unique Experience

Driving is freedom.

Tejas Turismo is a 700-mile love letter to the Texas Hill Country, three days of open road reserved for only 100 vintage automobiles.

A lifestyle event that turns strangers into lifelong friends through the simple joy of driving a classic automobile. New roads, new venues, new lunch spots, and incredible people sharing the road with iconic works of art in motion.

Tejas Turismo also promotes a love for art, and takes pride in showing participants things only Texas can offer, from local culinary experiences to activities only Texas can offer like the incredibly fun armadillo races.

Where it began.

In the fall of 2016, a handful of friends and their vintage automobiles rolled out of Houston and into the Texas Hill Country. Not for a race, not for glory, but for the simple, stubborn idea that driving is freedom. No timers, no trophies to chase. Just back roads, good company, and the kind of miles that turn strangers into lifelong friends.

Seven chapters later, that first convoy has become Tejas Turismo, a curated three-day rally through some of the most beautiful roads in Texas. The cars have changed, the route has grown, but the spirit hasn't moved an inch. We still drive for the same reason we did in 2016: because the road is where the best stories are written.

2016

The first cars gather in the Hill Country. What starts as a handful of friends chasing back roads becomes something none of them could have imagined.

Chapter 3

The drive grows. Spots increase to 75, word spreads among vintage car owners, and Tejas Turismo earns its reputation as the rally people return to year after year.

Today

Seven chapters under our belt, a curated 450-mile route, and a community of devoted enthusiasts. The spirit of 2016 is still the engine of every mile.
